This is Cubic360.
Back in 2013 I was part of this multidisciplinary international group called We Are Cubic and our mission was to create with no limits.
I have had by then grown a.. not so good opinion on how the Hip Hop panorama in Portugal. And, following the critique of a peer of mine “Why don’t you do something yourself instead of just complaining?”.

And that’s what I did.
Well I tried… it took me three months to convince a particular group of MC’s whom I respect a LOT to be part of this crazy Idea that I had.
I called it :Cubic 360 because of the gathering of people around the MC’s when they would freestyle.
I had a vision of a project that would work as a platform for the public to find new talents and enjoy this music style that had me hooked ever since I was a child.
The problem is, that most of the times I was not the best at explaining my ideas, but showing them, so…
As soon I as was able to record the 1st episode, I got into editing and creating all the motion graphics.
And it blew everyone’s mind (those involved) when they saw the final product.
What it meant for me:
Cubic360 was my playground where I could create the logo, the transitions, visual style, editing, motion graphics and above all, had the chance to work with artists that I admire.
Fortunately the project was ported to the UK where the rest of the We Are Cubic team worked on the whole process, and I was even challenged to make a couple episodes when I moved to Cape Verde, and that introduced me to a whole new cast of amazing talent.
